Sintered carbide bit (274.220.060) with sharp grit and a green band is used for working with harder materials – also suitable in podiatry for working on thickened nails (skill level 4/5). The sharp cuts allow for fast salon work, making this bit ideal for removing acrylic, thickened skin, corns, and thickened nails. Works both dry and with water cooling.

Remember to clean and sterilize the tool before first use and before each subsequent use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
