Ceramic ball bit for cuticle removal (Z001 HP 023) made from zirconium oxide is a true specialist tool — it heats up less and is resistant to mechanical damage (skill level 1/5, blue marker). It is ideal for removing calluses, overgrown cuticle flaps, and hangnails, and the ball shape is perfect for removing dead epidermis along the side nail fold and nail fold edge. Thanks to the material, it is also an excellent choice for people with metal allergies. It can be used both dry and with water cooling.

In podiatry, this bit is used to remove corns, calluses, and hard corns. Different types of cuts allow it to be matched to specific needs: the blue marker for safe cuticle removal, and yellow and red for polishing cuticles — without risk of damaging or overheating the natural nail plate.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
