Description

Diamond flame bit (257.514.012-023) with fine grit is a great choice for beginner nail technicians – its gentleness allows incredible control in use (skill level 2/5, red band). The flame shape works well for working on nail folds: smoothing nail edges, deeper removal of epidermis and penetrating the pocket, pushing back and removing cuticles, cleaning the underside of the free edge of the nail plate, as well as removing hardened skin, corns, calluses, plantar warts, and reducing fissures. It is suitable for use both dry and with water cooling.

Work with quick but precise movements, with proper hand support, to avoid damaging the client's tissue. The bit can be sterilised in an autoclave – remember to clean the tool before each use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
