Diamond ball bit (V104.001.514.010-060) is a must-have for every nail technician, available in sizes 010-060 with a red band (skill level 1/5). Thanks to its gentleness, it allows incredible control when removing and polishing delicate skin and natural nails, removing dead epidermis at the lateral nail fold and nail rim, and cleaning the nail folds and free edge of the nail of deposits and cuticles. It also works well in combination manicure, working on acrylic and gel in the nail fold area, and for filling in the free edge in a French manicure. It can be used both dry and with water cooling.

In cases of a drooping proximal fold, the best choice will be a small diamond ball, and in podiatry this bit is used for removing corns, calluses, and plantar warts. Remember that when working with the ball bit, do not touch the nail plate surface – this risks creating unwanted indentations and grooves.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
