Description

Diamond cone bits (199.524.012-021) with standard grit are ideal for the first stage of cuticle work – they will handle pushing back cuticles and removing the epidermis with ease (skill level 1/5, blue band). They are suitable for cleaning the underside of the free edge of the nail plate, pushing back and lifting cuticles, initially removing the epidermis, cleaning nail folds, matting the natural nail plate, smoothing the step between the natural nail plate and the nail enhancement, and pushing back tissue in corners and sinuses. They are suitable for use both dry and with water cooling.

The bits can be sterilized in an autoclave.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
