Description

Diamond flame bits (257.524.023-025) with standard grit allow for greater intervention and are recommended for more hardened cuticles (skill level 2/5, blue band). They are ideal for lifting and cleaning nail folds and pushing back and removing cuticles. They are suitable for smoothing nail edges, deeper epidermis removal and pocket penetration, cleaning the underside of the free part of the nail plate and nail folds, removing lifted fragments of gel and acrylic, as well as removing hardened skin, corns, calluses, hard corns and treating fissures. They can be used both dry and with water cooling.

Work with quick but precise movements, with proper hand support, to avoid damaging the client's tissue. The bits can be sterilized in an autoclave.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
