Podiatry Diamond Bit Cylinder (157SR.514.050) with fine grit only on the sides allows for outstanding control thanks to its gentleness (skill level 2/5, red band). The rounded cylinder shape makes it ideal for delicate cuticle and natural nail plate work – it handles nail plate treatment all the way to the nail folds and smoothing of skin and nails. Thanks to rounded edges the risk of injury is minimised, and the bit is recommended for diabetics. Works both dry and with water cooling.

The bit can be sterilized in an autoclave – remember to clean the tool before first and every subsequent use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
