Description

Podiatry diamond point bit (166.534.025) with coarse grit is used for working on tough skin and nails – it is ideal for podiatry (skill level 5/5). It is suitable for refining and removing cuticles at the nail fold, cleaning the underside of the free edge of the nail plate, treating fissures, removing calluses from nail folds, and evening out the edges of the nail plate. It works both dry and with water cooling.

The bit can be sterilized in an autoclave – remember to clean the tool before the first and every subsequent use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
