Podiatry Diamond Bit Cylinder (157SR.524.050) with standard grit only on the sides allows for slightly greater intervention (skill level 2/5, blue band). The rounded design minimises the risk of injury, and the cylinder shape makes it ideal for the first stage of cuticle treatment – it handles nail plate work all the way to the nail folds, cuticle treatment, and smoothing of skin and nails. Works both dry and with water cooling, and its safe construction makes it recommended for diabetics.

The bit can be sterilized in an autoclave – remember to clean the tool before first and every subsequent use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
