Description

Podiatry diamond disc bit (048.524.060) is a tool recommended for working with more hardened, tough cuticles, allowing for slightly greater intervention (skill level 2/5). Thanks to its standard grit, it works very well for shortening healthy natural nail plates as well as gel and acrylic nails, processing thickened nails infected with fungus, removing discolouration, unevenness, ridges, and thickenings of the nail plate, as well as shortening deformed nail plates. It works both dry and with water cooling.

The bit can be fully sterilised in an autoclave – remember to clean and sterilise the tool before each use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
