Podiatry diamond flame bits (243.534.031-070) with coarse, collecting grit are ideal for podiatry when working on tough skin and nails (skill level 3/5, green band). The large working surface of the buffer bit is used for removing corns, calluses and hard corns, and they are also suitable for smoothing nail edges, deeper epidermis removal and pocket penetration, treating fissures and cracks, matting the natural nail plate, and polishing gels and removing base coat residue. They are suitable for use both dry and with water cooling.

Work with quick but precise movements, with proper hand support, to avoid damaging the client's tissue. The bits can be sterilized in an autoclave.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
