Description

Podiatry diamond large flame bit (243.544.070) with very coarse, strongly collecting grit is ideal for podiatry – it is used for quickly refining thickened nails and removing very tough skin (skill level 3/5, black band). The large working surface of the buffer bit is used for removing corns, calluses and hard corns, and it is also suitable for treating fissures and cracks, matting the natural nail plate before applying product, polishing gel, and removing base coat residue. It is suitable for use both dry and with water cooling.

The bit can be sterilized in an autoclave – remember to clean the tool before the first and every subsequent use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
