Podiatry diamond bit (157R.524.050) with standard grit allows for slightly more intervention (skill level 2/5). The rounded edges of the cylinder minimize the risk of injury, and the bit is suitable for refining skin and nails, shortening nails, and smoothing skin and nails. It works both dry and with water cooling.

The bit can be sterilized in an autoclave – remember to clean the tool before the first and every subsequent use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
