Description

Sintered carbide ball bit (001.175.012) with standard cross cuts is perfectly suited for precise cleaning of hard-to-reach channels in areas of infected or mechanically damaged nail plates (skill level 3/5). It works very effectively without damaging the client's healthy tissue. It is ideal for removing overgrown cuticle flaps, hangnails, and calluses, cleaning hard-to-reach areas of the nail plate with pathological changes, and evacuating secretion trapped under the nail plate. The bit is recommended by PODOLAND and works both dry and with water cooling.

Remember to clean and sterilize the tool before first use and before each subsequent use.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
