Safe Bit Set for Diabetics by Milena Skalska is a professional set with a skill level of 2/5, created with diabetics in mind, as well as patients who require exceptionally gentle and safe treatment of skin and nails. The set was developed in collaboration with an expert in the field of podiatry – Milena Skalska – and includes 6 diamond bits and a stand suitable for autoclave sterilization. The carefully selected bits enable safe shortening and treatment of nails, gentle removal of cuticles, corns, and calluses, minimizing the risk of injury in patients with impaired healing and sensation. The bits with rounded edges provide even greater control over the work and reduce the risk of injury.

All bits are coated with a ZRN coating, which increases their durability, reduces the overheating effect during work, provides high resistance to sterilization products, and improves biocompatibility with the treated skin and nail plate. The set includes bits for gentle treatment of cuticles and the natural nail plate, balls intended for removing dead epidermis, deposits, corns, and calluses, and bits with safely rounded edges that increase working comfort for both the specialist and the patient.

Sterilization and cleaning

Before first use, disinfect the instruments in a disinfectant solution for 30 minutes. Do not use disinfectants based on active oxygen.
After each use, remove any organic particles. Then clean the instruments ultrasonically or under running water. Repeat if necessary. After cleaning, dry the tool, otherwise it may corrode. Sterilize the instruments under the following conditions:

at 1 atm overpressure at 121°C for 15 minutes, or at 2 atm at 132–134°C for 5 minutes.
